World leader in the production of laser and inkjet printers – in recent years HP Company® has invested in the commercialization of high-performance Multi-Jet Fusion 3D Printers.
The production includes three series of the 3D printer with MJF technology and a Metal Jet 3D printer, allowing the production of parts with very different materials, ranging from thermopolymers to elastomers and metals.
One of the market-leading sectors of HP 3D Printers is Healthcare: the possibility to produce patient-specific anatomical models, medical instruments, and equipment with fine detail, and high mechanical performance can have a positive impact on several aspects of the surgical interventions or therapy.
With HP MJF 3D Printers it is possible to produce accurate, functional parts with intricate detail and create full-spectrum color parts with a voxel-control system to respond to a wide range of clinical and surgical requests and needs.
In 2020 3D4MED proudly became HP Multi jet fusion tech center for medicine. HP provided an HP MJF 580 3D Printer – working with Nylon PA12 material – to our lab with the aim of supporting the production of patient-specific anatomical models for surgical planning and training and the research on how MJF technology can support the healthcare field.
HP MJF 580 can produce highly complex and detailed models with high mechanical resistance and a full-chromatic scale; these features make the HP MJF technology suitable for the production of anatomical models for all the clinical and surgical specialities – as abdominal, vascular, thoracic and pediatric surgery, otolaryngology, orthopedics, neurosurgery and much more – for surgical planning, simulation and training purposes.
